The Idiomatics are an American indie/alternative rock trio which started in Fredericksburg Virginia in the winter of 2008.

The band's music is a product of American pop culture with lyrical inspirations thriving from cutting edge current events all the way to common themes such as love and relationships.

In September, 2010 the band released their first E.P. which is titled Star King. This collection of music reflects the craftsmanship and precision of the band who recorded the album in only two days and did the production and thinking inside the rehearsal space.

Instead of using modern methods of "tracking" and "overdubbing" The Idiomatics chose to go to a more traditional method of recording live in a studio setting. The Star King E.P. is a "what you see is what you get" collection of music which combines elements of modern indie rock with that of the 60's and 70's ideas.

In a live setting, the band's energy jumps off the album directly into a live setting. Michael Geddes, the band's enigmatic front man, locks the crowd in with his antics and wild untamed guitar playing coupled with uniquely branded vocals.

Brian McGuire follows suite with his drumming locking into the time and displaying his own signature beats. Being the band's energy factory, it's hard to catch McGuire off time.

Michael (Raph) Raphael smooth talks the crowd showcasing his own stylistic bass lines. His tone echos from his choice of flat-wound strings which are unique to hear inside of a rock setting. Raph also provides the band with backing vocals and a wisecracking sense of humor.
